TYPES OF MOUNTING: For inside mounted shades, a deduction of approximately 0.4inch will be taken to ensure a proper fit within the window frame. A minimum frame depth of 2.4inch is required for secure installation of inside mounted shades. If your window frame is less than 2.4inch deep, it is recommended to select outside mount. Outside mounted shades should be ordered to match the exact width of the area you wish to cover. Outside mounts are commonly used when there is insufficient frame depth for inside mounting. Our shades come with all necessary mounting hardware for both inside and outside mount installations.

MEASURING FOR INSIDE MOUNT: Step 1. Measure the inside frame width at the top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest measurement, then subtract 0.4inch to determine your customized width when placing an order. Step 2. Measure the height at the left, middle, and right sides. Record the smallest measurement as your customized height when ordering.

MEASURING FOR OUTSIDE MOUNT: Step 1. Measure the outside frame width and add 6-10inch to determine the outside mount width. Step 2. Measure the outside frame height and add 6-10inch for the outside mount height. A recommended overlap ensures proper coverage and prevents any light gaps.
